Hey, I'm Chris Waterman!

Meet the founder + emeritus buyer agent + vendor advocate

Chris Waterman is the principal of Waterman Property Advocates. With more than 40 years of real estate and managerial experience in South Australia and the Northern Territory, Chris established the company in response to a real need.

Over those years, he has found that homebuyers and property investors benefit from independent expert advice.

Chris's experience gives him an intimate knowledge of buying, selling and negotiating all types of real estate. As the first Property Advocate in Adelaide (Buyer Agent), he has a unique take on how to best serve his clients.

Chris is a fully registered land agent and auctioneer, member of the Real Estate Institute of South Australia, member of the Society of Auctioneers and Appraisers of South Australia, member of the Real Estate Buyer Agents Association, an acknowledged real estate trainer and educator and an associate of the Real Estate Institute of Australia.

Chris enjoys a balance in life, with horse racing and syndication, wine, cooking, football and cricket in his leisure time. 

Being in the property industry for over 18 years, and having completed her Diploma of Property through the Real Estate Institute of South Australia while obtaining her full Land Agent’s Licence, Jodi offers a unique and refreshing approach to customer service through an honest, dedicated, and friendly manner.

With approximately 12 years of experience in property management, including running property management departments, Jodi has developed extensive industry knowledge and a strong understanding of the challenges property owners, investors, and sellers can face throughout their property journey.

Having also personally bought, sold, and renovated homes over the years, as well as managed her own investment properties, Jodi understands firsthand the importance of trusted advice, presentation, communication, and strategic decision-making when it comes to property.

Jodi combines strong industry knowledge with a genuine commitment to client care, helping clients navigate property decisions with confidence and clarity. Her professionalism, experience, and personalised approach allow her to focus on making each client’s property journey less stressful and more rewarding.

She is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes and works closely with every client to understand their individual needs while providing independent guidance and support throughout the process.

Outside of her professional life, Jodi values time with her family and enjoys the balance of nature, travel, and an active lifestyle. She also enjoys life on her hobby farm, embracing the lifestyle and connection to the outdoors it brings.

Hey, I'm Matt O'Donoghue!

Matt O'Donoghue has been a Buyer and Seller of property within the real estate industry for over 25 years, commencing his career in 2004 with Elders Real Estate in the Clare Valley. By 2007 Matt had purchased his first franchise on the Yorke Peninsula with offices in Moonta, Wallaroo and Kadina and eventually managed one of the largest franchise's in South Australia.

Matt achieved record numbers in Residential, Rural, Business and Commercial sales and was the No.1 sales agent for SA/NT in 2008,2009, and 2010 and was eventually elevated to "Elite Status" whilst becoming the 4th highest sales performer within the Elders Real Estate Group in Australia.

In 2010 Matt was nominated for the "REISA Bendigo Bank/Advertiser Awards For Excellence""Local Regional Salesperson of the Year" for all of South Australia and was honoured with winning this award, competing with some of South Australia's most accomplished real estate agents. His business was also a finalist in the "REISA/Bendigo Bank/Advertiser Awards for Excellence" for ""Small Business of the year"
